Angel Pagan has gone through a lot to get where he is. He grew up in a rough area of Puerto Rico, avoiding gangs and drugs to make it to America playing baseball. And once he gets here, the first two teams he has to play for are the Cubs and Mets. That's a pretty terrible "Welcome to America." At least he always got to look forward to going home. Seriously, check out Angel Pagan's wife Windy - wouldn't you?
So it's rather obvious to say that Windy Pagan is attractive. What you may not know however is she was a finalist for Miss Puerto Rico in 2003, representing the Dorado region of the country. Oddly enough, that's about all for information available on Windy.
Pagan is a very big family man. He says being apart from his family is the hardest part of playing baseball in another country. Growing up, his family was especially important, including his mother who actually was the one who taught him how to play baseball. Now Angel and Windy Pagan have two daughters, Briana and Suil. The Pagans had a very stressful 2010, as Briana developed an eye condition which ultimately required surgery. Thankfully she has fully recovered well from this.
Pagan lives in Puerto Rico with his family in the offseason. He says his hobby is spear fishing, while making it clear that he only does the fishing and that Windy responsible for the cooking. What a life.
Not much to complain about with Bruce Bochy's wife Kim Bochy. For a woman in her mid 50's the former Kim Seib is still a looker, which isn't entirely shocking for a girl from Florida. For those not familiar with Bruce he is a former player who turned to managing starting with the San Diego Padres and currently the San Francisco Giants. Bruce, who was the son of an Army vet, moved quite often when he was young which probably helped to acclimate him to the life of a professional athlete and coach. Bruce was actually born in France before the family finally settled in Florida. Bruce attended Brevard Community College to play baseball. While at Brevard he met Kim during her freshman, his sophomore, year. Eventually Bruce would head to FSU to continue playing baseball. Drafted as a catcher Bruce played for about 10 years in the majors before turning to the coaching circuit. This upcoming January Bruce and Kim will be celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary, having been married in 1978. The couple have two sons, Brett and Greg. Brett, a pitcher, was drafted by Bruce's team and is now working his way up the farm system of the Giants.
Interesting note, not sure why this caught my attention but it was mentioned in a few things I read about Bruce. Apparently Bruce has a big head. No not in the sense he thinks a lot about himself, (although who could blame him if that was an issue too) but physically he has a big head. He's a size 8 and when he used to play he only had one helmet and had to take it from team to team, painting it each time since making a size 8 was tough. Anyone remember Kevin Mench?
Despite a pretty awful regular season, Tim Lincecum seems to be doing all right. The Giants are once again in the NLCS with Big Time Timmy Jim is set to start for the Giants in one of the games. The fans still love him, as do his teammates. It could be his laid back persona, or maybe his charitable endeavors. Or maybe it’s because of things like this, which we present without comment. Listen closely at the 16 second mark and the very end for some Lincecum gems.
The one thing we’re not sure he has figured out at the moment is his love life. Lincecum was dating a woman named Ruth for several years, including during San Francisco’s title season in 2010. It’s not clear when Tim Lincecum and his girlfriend Ruth broke up. Oddly enough, after the split Lincecum settled in Seattle, where he spends his offseasons now. Based on what we have read, Ruth wasn’t very popular with the fans. We’re basing this off the nickname “Sourpuss” which is hard to put a positive spin on.
Break ups after long-term relationship can be tough, so naturally the first thought is how to move on. Lincecum, apparently taking a page from Reggie Bush, apparently kept dating Ruth lookalikes. Allegedly. I mean it could just as easily be that Lincecum dated a few blondes, but where’s the fun in thinking that?
His current lady friend, dubbed Kart Girl, has popped up here and there in pictures and was spotted with him after a recent Giants game. San Fran fans are pretty creative with names, as you can see by the pictures below. Now where did I leave the sarcasm font…
