Corey Dickerson's wife Beth Anne Dickerson just gave birth to their son Davis in October of last year, and there was a story run on the Rockies' home page about how it impacted the couple's lives. It was pretty much a big puff piece, but it talked about the birth of their child has given Corey balance in his life. Apparently Beth Anne gets breaks from changing Davis's diapers, and Corey steps up to do the job.
The couple live in Mississippi, and it was only in 2012 that Beth Anne graduated from Mississippi State University. She's really full speed ahead on the marriage and motherhood thing, I guess. She got married a few months after she graduated, and the wedding took place in Mississippi as well. I'm sort of surprised there's no big religious interests on her Facebook page other than her church, and I like that she's got a lot of compassionate groups in her interests. She seems to also be a big shopper and is into vintage clothes. The couple recently had the honor of being the in a convertible and driving through Corey's hometown parade with Corey as the Grand Marshall. It's an honorary title meant to show how proud the town is of someone. Corey Dickerson's wife Beth Anne Dickerson was there in the convertible smiling and holding their son.
The two of them also attended a community outreach event called Legends for Youth Dinner in November of last year. My guess is it's a fundraiser to help raise money for kids sports or something along those lines. Beth Anne was looking particularly photogenic in the pictures, having just given birth and pretty much fully recovered. Corey Dickerson's wife Beth Anne Dickerson also traveled to a pumpkin patch with their son and Corey in late October of last year, and my guess is that they were stocking up on Halloween pumpkins.
Michael Cuddyer is a late bloomer. The 34 year old Rockies outfielder is entering the national discussion for the first time in his 12 year career while in the midst of a 27 game hitting streak. Outside of Minnesota and Colorado, most non-fantasy junkies didn't know a whole lot about the power hitting corner outfielder with one notable exception: Michael Cuddyer's wife Claudia Cuddyer.
Michael Cuddyer married the formerly Claudia Rente on November 11, 2006 while he was breaking in with the Minnesota Twins. The couple first began dating in 2003, and had their first child, Casey on June 20, 2008. Claudia and Michael later had twins, daughters Claudia and Madeline, born on December 6, 2011.
Claudia worked as a teacher before dedicating time to charity work and her family. She was prominent in the Twins Wives organization for helping to coordinate birthday bag giveaways for Cheerful Givers, an organization in Minnesota helping to provide birthday gifts to children of families who may not otherwise be able to afford them.
Carlos Gonzalez has quickly become one of the most consistent and dangerous hitters in baseball despite an injury plagued and disappointing end to the 2012 season. At age 27, Gonzalez is entering his prime, and a huge bounceback was anticipated by many. Age 27 has also proven to be an age for CarGo to start to settle things off the field as well, and the woman to help that transition would be Carlos Gonzalez's wife Indonedia Riera.
As a long time fantasy hero to the writers of this blog, we'd previously searched for information about CarGo off the field but always came up with nothing. After marrying Indonesia Riera on October 20, 2012, there was still little buzz about his newlywed status. It wasn't until spring training 2013, that word started to leak about Gonzalez's busy offseason. In addition to his marriage to Riera, and a trip home to Venezuela, Gonzalez also officially adopted his new bride's young son. Gonzalez seems to be taking to the new lifestyle, telling the Associated Press,
"It's been great. Having my wife all the time around me, and her son, it's a new experience for us. We definitely enjoy it. We went back to Venezuela for a while, spent time with my family and her family, and so far it's been great. I love having her right next to me and supporting me in good moments and bad moments."
The new lifestyle is paying off as CarGo is off to a scorching hot start. Fantasy owners everywhere thank Indonesia Riera for putting CarGo in a great place.
