One of the reason's we've never chronicled Tony Parker and Eva Longoria Parker on this site is because everyone already knows about their marriage. This post however, may help to shine some light into what is becoming a more intriguing soap opera style story than Desperate Housewives could ever hope to be.
Eva Longoria filed court documents to officially begin the divorce proceedings on November 17, 2010. In a statement released later that day on the only source of news on the internet, Twitter, Longoria tweeted, "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. "We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness."
Multiple news outlets have reported that the years ago, but during the marriage, Eva caught Tony cheating (really Tony? Have you seen your wife?). Fast forward to today, when AC Slater (or Mario Lopez for less awesome folk) fired up the rumor mill by saying that Longoria found multiple text messages on Tony's phone from the same woman, and that the woman was in fact the wife of one of Tony's teammates. Further reports also indicate that Tony maintained full contact with the woman via Facebook.
OK, so let's go over what we've heard:
- Tony married one of the hottest women alive, Eva Longoria
- Tony cheated on her early in the marriage, but the two stayed together.
- Eva supposedly finds evidence that the two have stayed in touch
- AC Slater says it's with a former teammates wife
Cryptic? A little. The puzzle started to fit together when Sports Illustrated writer Bryan A. Graham tweeted the following: "Don't have much else on Parker/Longoria affair. Source did mention Barry and wife are going through a divorce."
Meet Erin Barry:
Jon and Erin have been married since a large scale cathedral wedding in San Francisco in 1998. They have two children together, 7 year old Quin and 2 year old Cade.
After traveling with Brent through five home cities in a little more than a decade, the two settled down in San Antonio, and became charitable activists in the city.
While no statement has been released by the Barry's regarding the reason for their divorce, the timing is at the very enough to raise some eyebrows. We'll continue to monitor and update as things become available. For now, we'll leave you with a recent picture of the happy couple-friends.

According to multiple sources, Tony and Erin did in fact have an extended sexting relationship, though both deny any physical contact occurred.
Eva's camp insists that the divorce was handled and carried out at Eva's discretion. Her camp insists that the couple was exploring options to work out the marriage as recently as the morning the divorce was filed.
Tony's camp insists that he was trying to file for the divorce almost a week before it was filed by Eva. He wanted it handled in San Antonio, suggesting that the process is easier, while she wanted it filed in Los Angeles.
There was some conjecture last night that the timing of the divorce was based in part on the fact that Tony finally signed his 4 year, $52M extension as Eva is purportedly seeking spousal support. In California, all marital assets acquired during the marriage are divided equally.
As for the Brent and Erin Barry divorce: Documents were filed October 29, 2010. The two did not cite the standard celebrity "irreconcilable differences," but also didn't stray too far from that line:
"The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities ..."
Speculation is running wild that as of 7:00 EST, police have been dispatched to the former home of Brent and Erin Barry, though SportsByBrooks.com has reported that there is some off the record speculation indicating that they were called due to an increased paparazzi presence. X-17online.com has also reported that the media crush has descended upon the LA home of Erin Barry.
Stay tuned here for updates as they become available.
