UPDATE: 06/12/2012: Hold up... the divorce is now off. In a move that's been seemingly orchestrated over the past few months, it appears that the divorce between Kobe Bryant and Vanessa Bryant is on hold. Vanessa has been seen at many of Kobe's games this season, and the couple has even been seen embracing at times (most notably with a Valentine's Day kiss in the Staples Center tunnel). TMZ is reporting that Vanessa will not sign any divorce docs while the couple works on reconciliation.

By now, most everyone knows that Kobe Bryant's wife is Vanessa Bryant. Vanessa Bryant has the distinction of being one of the original Basketball Wives, only she didn't do it through a VH1 reality show. Vanessa Bryant became a household name during the infamous Kobe Bryant rape trial, and the subsequent news conference where she sat next to Kobe supporting her husband despite him admitting to infidelity. While that news conference had to have been an unimaginable torture that virtually no human being will ever quite comprehend, it was not all for naught. Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa Bryant returned home with a ring, valued at $4,000,000. Hopefully that helped at least a little.
Now, while we have turned Vanessa (whose full name is Vanessa Cornejo Urbieta Laine Bryant) into the victim, she's not the most sympathetic figure I've ever seen.
In a current lawsuit being filed against the Bryant's for wrongful termination and mistreatment, a former housekeeper alleges that Vanessa Bryant screamed at her after one of the Bryants’ children came to the housekeeper for comfort. The suit alleges that Vanessa screamed at her housekeeper, “I don’t want you to touch my baby. I hired you for housekeeping, not babysitting.”
The lawsuit is still pending.

I guess Vanessa's cool if Kobe love her than so do I and she's lucky too have him because if I would have met him first it would have been bye bye nessa....and he's lucky too have her also because anybody else would have tried too take him for everything he owns even if provened innocent...and I personally would like too thank you Vanessa for being that girl who loves Kobe Bryant as much as I do and not try and ruin everything that he has worked for... like the older people say if his good things out weigh the bad you fight and stick with him until the end.

MY THOUGHTS ARE A BIT DIFFERENT FROM WHAT MOST PEOPLE SAY ABOUT THE COUPLE. THEY ARE BOTH LUCKY TO HAVE EACH OTHER FOR MANY REASONS! SURE EVERY MARRIAGE NEEDS TO BE WORKED ON, AND IN THE PAST KOBE DID COME OUT TO SAY SORRY TO THE ONE HE LOVES. FOR VANESSA TO ACCEPT THAT WAS HARD I'M SURE. BEING A WOMAN AND TO KNOW THAT YOUR HUSBAND PLAYED AROUND WAS GOING TO CHANGE THINGS EITHER FOR GOOD OR BAD. KOBE BEING THE LEADER, AND A ROLE MODEL STAYED POSITIVE IN A BAD SITUATION. THEN WE HAVE THE BEAUTIFUL VANESSA WHO IS A BOMB SHELL TO ME, AS TAKEN THE CRAP OF THE WORLD AND LOOKED BEYOND IT. WHAT MATTERS IS THAT THEY HAVE TWO BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN, AND ARE BACK IN LOVE!!!!

I just want Vanessa to know that you are a beautiful wife, mother and no matter what people say about your marriage just keep your head up we as mothers & wife take so much shit from our husbands and Im glad that you stood by your man through thick & thin remember there are lot of bitches out there that don't care wether a man is married or not just remember Kobe loves you and you both deserve to be happy without peoples drama. I must say Kobe proves that Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder! His wife's looks are a matter of opnion not fact! Shes like many of the woman who have nothing & come from nothing than ride on the coat tails of there famous husbands & begin treating everyone else as if theyre beneath them!!! I think Vanessa is a beautiful woman. Of course she didn't go onto basketball wives because she has more class than that. She has kids to take care of than starting fights and throwing bottles. Look at her, she's a good mother. As far as Kobe goes, he loves her and we all know that so everyone needs to mind their own business. I wish them both the best. She comes out winning with or without him. Go Lakers!
