The Story
- Dan Haren's wife Jessica went to UC-Santa Barbara, which is located near Pepperdine University (where Dan went). They met at a party through mutual friends during his sophmore year when she was a freshman. Luckily, when he left college and went into the minors, he was still located relatively close by and was able to see his wife, by sleeping in the garage of a teammate.
Dan Haren was married to his wife Jessica Haren in November, 2006. Dan and Jessica had their first child, Rheet Haren, December 11, 2007, 3 days before Dan was traded from Oakland to Arizona. They have since had a second child as well.
Random Fact: Nearly a full year after Dan and Jessica were married, they still had an unsold registry to Pottery Barn available to be seen and shopped by the public. You know, cause it's tough for a once perennial all star to afford candle stick holders and stuff like that. Seems reasonable.

God bless Dan & Jessica! You hang in there, Dan Haren - there are LOTS of halo fans who adore you and know exactly how awesome you are. I would like nothing more than to see a healthy Dan Haren back on the Angels roster, flaunting that swagger & shuttin' out the bad guys with that awesome fast ball & cutter (and I'm even a fan of the occasional Dan Haren curve ball!) Whatever happens, you hold your head high young man. You ARE Dan, the MAN, handsome Haren! <3

Damn, I still remember when he was in Oakland. Pitched very good in 2006.
Wish the best of him in Washington!
