The site BauerGriffinOnline has reported with photographic evidence that Comrie and Duff got engaged during the the NHL's break for Olympic hockey. They have a series of pictures showing Comrie asking Duff, and then her later celebrating and admiring the ring. The photos are an admittedly impressive stakerish narrative of the events, so head over and check it out for yourself.

Time Together: After the single most impressive female resume in the history of man, Derek Jeter has finally decided to settle down.
According to basically every media outlet on earth, Jeter is set to be married to long-time girlfriend (well long time for him anyways) Minka Kelly, November 5, 2010 (or just a couple weeks after the Red Sox knock him out of the playoffs). The two are ironically set to be married exactly one year to the date after Jeter denied rumors of their engagement on Late Night with David Letterman. The two have been dating since late 2007 despite rumors of a split in early 2009.

According to Underwood's website: "I think you all know what Santa left under the tree for me this year... a fiance!" Estimates have placed the price of the diamond engagement ring somewhere between $150,000 and over $1,000,000. No wedding details yet announced.

Fast Facts: Troubled NFL receiver Chris Henry frequently credited his fiancee, Loleini Tonga with helping to turn his career and life around. Unfortunately, the woman whose influence gave him a second chance, is also accused of being the woman responsible for his death. Henry passed away Thursday, December 18, one day after Henry fell from the back of a pickup truck being driven by Tonga. The incident occurred after a "domestic dispute" regarding the planning and cost of their upcoming wedding, which was scheduled for March, 2010. Details are unclear, but various reports have surfaced including 911 calls, which describe Henry as desperately begging Tonga to stop the truck screaming "We need to talk," and threatening "'If you take off, I'm going to jump off and kill myself." 911 calls came in describing the scene of Henry clinging to the top of the cab while she fled down the road, and reaching in the back window, beating on the drivers seat.
An autopsy revealed that Henry died from blunt force trauma to the head. Charges may be coming against Tonga, as homicide investigators have started an investigation into the incident.

Fast Facts: The two have been together on and off for eight years, after meeting in 2001, while Gilbert was still playing with the Warriors. Gilbert caught wind of this information a couple weeks before the game, and worked in conjunction with the team to devise a story that he had the flu, and was unable to play in the name of preventing public humiliation. Even though he avoided being served on TV, Gilbert was forced to spend much of 2004 hiding from process servers, who on more than one occasion served one of Gilbert’s teammates in a case of mistaken identity. After much turmoil and frustration, Gilbert and Laura began speaking and negotiated terms of custody and child support. Gilbert bought Laura her own house near him so that he could be involved, while also providing her a car and financial allowance. After meeting face to face as part of the deal, they began speaking and ultimately dating again. The two have been together since, and are engaged to be married.

Fast Facts: Alicia won the 1995 Miss Venezuela pageant, and then subsequently went on to win the the 1996 Miss Universe Pageant.

The photos and video appeared online, and Abreu called off the engagement shortly thereafter.
