  • Time Together: The two were together for almost three years after meeting at a race in Indianapolis in 2007. Kyle proposed at Speedweek at Daytona, in February, 2010. The two are expected to tie the knot in January 2011.
  • Fun Facts: Kyle and Sam tour the country in a motor home traveling from race to race, with Kyle openly admitting, Our motor home is like our home away from home. She helped me build and design, it so it's kind of our first home together."   • Time Together: After the single most impressive female resume in the history of man, Derek Jeter has finally decided to settle down.
    According to basically every media outlet on earth, Jeter is set to be married to long-time girlfriend (well long time for him anyways) Minka Kelly, November 5, 2010 (or just a couple weeks after the Red Sox knock him out of the playoffs). The two are ironically set to be married exactly one year to the date after Jeter denied rumors of their engagement on Late Night with David Letterman. The two have been dating since late 2007 despite rumors of a split in early 2009.
  • Resume: The 29 year old Kelly is probably most well known for pretending to be a teenager as Lyla Garrity on NBC's Friday Night Lights. However, her much, much cooler role was in her acting debut when she was the Pink Lightspeed Ranger on TV Show Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue.

ALCS Preview: Angels vs Yankees

Much like the on field Yankees, the Yankee wives, represented by Laura Posada soundly defeated the Twins rep, Lisa Nathan.  In the other AL matchup, even though Red Sox fans don’t have a lot to cling to after the ugly 3 game series, at least Jon Lester’s wife Farah Johnson Lester defeated Howie Kendrick’s wife Jody Kendrick.

Will the women of the Yankees and Angels have the same results in the ALCS matchups?  Your vote helps decide.

The three Yankee ladies for round 2 average out at a 6.6 clip, while the three women representing the Angels average a 5.8.

  • UPDATE: (05/22/2009) Well, some of the things we didn't know are coming to light.
    1. Her name is officially Crista Ann Taylor, but has gone by Cristal Taylor for years(presumably since her last arrest). 2. Taylor is in fact pregnant with Dirk's child, and admits that they were engaged, but places emphasis on the word "were." 3. Apparently, there's more to meet the eye with Taylor, as this isn't the first professional athlete she's entered into a serious relationship with. Former NFL QB Tony Banks also admits to a long term relationship with Taylor, though no word on what her name was during that time period.
    UPDATE 2, 3, 4: (08/24/09) Cristal Taylor was sentenced to 5 years in prison on August 24 for violating the terms of probation from a former conviction. Additionally, Nowitzki has applied for sole custody of his unborn child with Taylor. Let's break this down a little bit here: Dirk Nowitzki, a Multi Millionaire NBA star, and generally revered good dude, vs. Cristal Taylor, a multiple time convicted felon who happens to be currently incarcerated and also seen as pretty much insane.

    I wonder how this one's going to go down...
  • Fun Facts: (05/07/2009) OK, so here's what's not known:
    1. Dirk Nowitzki may or may not be in a long term relationship with Cristal Taylor who was living in his house.
    2. Cristal Taylor may or may not be pregnant with Dirk Nowitzki's baby
    3. Dirk and Cristal may or may not be engaged, but it's difficult to tell as Dirk repeats a mantra of "I'll keep my private life private.

    Here is what is known:
    1. Cristal Taylor is 37 years old and knows Dirk Nowitzki
    2. Cristal Taylor has been arrested and is being held on $20,000 bond in a Dallas jail.
    3. She is in jail for violating the terms of probation from her multiple prior arrests forgery, theft, and theft of service.
    4. The normally affable Nowitzki abruptly ended a media session Thursday following a series of questions that focused exclusively on Taylor.
    5. She is booked as Cristal Taylor, but according to various media sources has also gone by as many as 16 aliases as listed on police documents.
  • Quote: Regarding her pregnancy, Taylor says that "I didn't even know. Nobody knew until they tested me in Dallas." While we're not looking to openly challenge a person's word, we find it funny that a strong rumor on the day of her arrest is that she was pregnant, but now supposedly nobody knew before the jail testing. Hmmm..
  • The Mistress Says: Look up the kid's show "Arthur" on PBS, and check our Arthur's friend, "Francine". And tell me that Christa Ann Taylor, Christal Taylor, etc, doesn't look like that cartoon character.
