  • Fun Facts: You may know Allison Mathis for two reasons. Let's start with the first and more fun reason:
    In a game in early January, 2008, Bosh's Raptors hosted LeBron James and the Cavs. The Raptors were up rather comfortably in the third quarter when LeBron stole the ball and took off for a breakaway dunk, only to miss. After the failed dunk a couple of courtside fans, including Allison Mathis began getting on LeBron's case. After initially laughing it off, LeBron exploded for 24 points in the 4th quarter helping the Cavs to a big comeback win. Late in the 4th, LeBron was seen pointing at Mathis and friends saying, "It's your fault." After the game, LeBron confirmed that he was directing his comments to them stating, "They're the reason the Raptors lost tonight,... ticked me off a little bit."

  • Quote: OK, so now for the less fun reason you may have heard of Allison Mathis.
    Mathis and Bosh were together for a while, and ultimately decided to have a child together. After coming home from the Beijing Olympics in 2008, Bosh made it clear to the 7-month-pregnant Mathis that he was ready to end the relationship, and then attempted to remove her from their jointly owned home. In May of 2009, Mathis brought a suit against Bosh, and according to the court documents filed by Mathis, "With Mathis seven months pregnant it is alleged Bosh stopped supporting her financially and attempted to have her removed from their home. Without money to pay for her obstetrician appointments, let alone a means of transportation to attend them, Mathis, according to the documents, suffered “breakthrough bleeding and a constantly upset stomach” while utility companies threatened to disconnect her electricity, gas and water."
  • Fast Facts: Look, we're not going to cast judgement on anyone here. However, if this controversey makes you think less of Bosh, then maybe watching this video will make you feel better. PlayerWives all time favorite player Paul Pierce and his left knee may have just guaranteed that Chris Bosh will never face another paternity suit.

NLCS Preview: Phillies vs. Dodgers

Even though the Dodgers and Phillies were able to dispatch their first round opponents quickly and easily, their battles here at PlayerWives did not turn out as well.

Dodgers rep Marikym Hervieux(Russell Martin’s girlfriend), was taken down by Cardinals gal, Heidi DeRosa.  Danyll Gammon, engaged to Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki, easily defeated Phillies rep Jennifer Utley.

One of these teams will have their luck turn in the NLCS.  The three representatives from the Dodgers average out at a 6.7 clip, while the ladies representing the Phillies average a 6.1.

  • Fast Facts: Alicia won the 1995 Miss Venezuela pageant, and then subsequently went on to win the the 1996 Miss Universe Pageant.
    As reigning Miss Universe, Alicia nearly lost her crown because of a well publicized weight gain. This publicity reached it's peak when Miss Universe owner Donald Trump called in to the Howard Stern Show to promote the 1997 pageant, and referred to Alicia as an "eating machine." Ouch.
    Machado went on to moderate success as a soap opera star, and appeared nude for the Mexican edition of Playboy in 2006.

    Abreu and Machado were engaged in 2005, when Machado went on a reality TV show. The concept of being filmed for a nationwide(and with the glory that is the internet, worldwide) reality TV show apparently escaped Machado as she had sex with a housemate,... of course, all caught on camera. The photos and video appeared online, and Abreu called off the engagement shortly thereafter. This brings us back to our original quote, and if you haven't gone to look up what it means yet, we'll save you the trip. It translates to, "You have a divine cock," which Machado moaned out repeatedly during her on air tryst.

Tequila chose a man as the season one winner, and a woman to take the title in season two.
  • Fun Facts: Back to Tequila and Merriman. Reports go something like this:
    The two were hanging out together on the night of September 5, into the early morning of September 6. The two were seen hanging out in a VIP area at San Diego nightclub, Stingaree, where witnesses also saw Tequila giving Merriman lapdances for the better part of the evening(so much for the just friends angle).
    Tila called the cops at 3:45am, accusing Merriman of choking and restraining her against her will. The war of words has escalated from there. Merriman alleges that Tequila was drunk and he was simply doing the right thing by not allowing a drunk friend to leave until safe transportation could be arranged for her. Tequila responded to that claim by reminding the world that she is actually allergic to alcohol, and that her name is infact derived out of an ironic joke.

    The trash talk has continued, including Tequila alleging many things about Merriman on her Twitter account including steroid use.
    We certainly don't condone domestic assault in any capacity, but it sure looks like Tequila can hold her own in a public fight. This war of words is entertaining, and probably only going to get more moreso as details come to light. Stay tuned.
