The Story
- It's been a long time since the New York Rangers were considered a good team but 2012 might be the year it all comes together for the Rangers. And on this quality roster, many would call the Ryan the heart and soul of the Rangers. That may help to explain why he took over the captain "C" from incumbent Chris Drury. With Ryan leading the team the #1 seed Rangers are heading towards their first Stanley Cup since 1994.
Hoping to cheer Ryan on all the way to the cup is his wife, the former Kyla Allison. Ryan and Kyla dated for about 8 years before he finally popped the question. The couple married on June 25th, 2011 at the Oak Hill Country Club, which will also host the PGA Championship in 2013. I would have to think Ryan would like nothing better than on his first wedding anniversary to celebrate the first year of marriage and winning Lord Stanley's Cup.
Being married less than a year, it's not impossible to still find a wedding registry online. And in that spirit, we have discovered a totally reasonable wedding registry online. Personally speaking, I cannot say enough how classy I find it to put items of every price point on your registry, especially when you get a pretty nice paycheck from the Rangers. Nothing worse or more conceited than registering for nothing but crazy expensive stuff. I think this speaks volumes about how classy this couple is. Congratulations to the new bride and groom, and good luck to Ryan in the advanced rounds of the playoffs.

good afternoon Kyla it has been a while. just e-mailing you guys i am sure you got the card and the note that i sent the both of you.just want to say happy anniversary to you guys. and joel and i will be celebrating number 30 august 1 we will be in aruba for five days. we can't wait and we will back aug 5 then i will be off a week until august 12. hopefully we will see you guys and your new addition charlotte. take care of yourselves. and we will see you soon.

Hi Kyla,
This is a class act, but our family always considered Ryan Callahan to be a class act. I'm the one who sent your new baby Charlotte a blanket I made and I hope you enjoyed it and also hope Ryan remembered the story behind it. My Mom loved him as a player and said in his Rookie year he would be Captain one day. She died three years ago and her name was Charlotte. I couldn't help myself but to make a crochet blanket for her. We are hopping the season does start soon because they were so close last year we felt this was their year. God Bless Charlotte and maybe one day we will see her playing in the NHL with Princess Lundqvist.
