The Story

  • OK, so we get that the Raiders and 49ers exist close to one another, but we're all a little surprised to learn that Alex Smith's girlfriend Elizabeth is a former Raiders cheerleader. How that happened we might never know. We do know that Alex Smith and Elizabeth (Liz) got engaged in December, 2007 and the couple were married at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco in March, 2009.

    There's a really interesting story on ESPN.com regarding how Alex responded to the suicide of a friend during the 2008 training camp. Alex Smith's wife Elizabeth is quoted a number of times offering insight for how Alex worked his way through things. Worth a read here if you have the time.

    Hi, I just wanted to know if u have children? U both r, beautiful together!! Wish I had that. Been a widow for 22 almost 23yrs. My family as child never watched sports except I did and have. I am now almost 54 in Dec. I live in Wallace, Ca very hurt and suffer from way too much bad men, so glad u both look happy together. My only daughter 35. Husband murdered in 1990, April. Wish u both down to earth companionship!!
