Corey Clement’s girlfriend Micaela Powers graduated from Wisconsin in December of 2017. She was a double major in Sociology and Psychology, now holding a degree in psychology. Those two majors (with communications) sometimes serve as the punchline for jokes about fruitless degrees. But, with experience in both, you gotta imagine professional doors are much more likely to swing open.

College wasn’t just books for Micaela Powers. In addition to chasing down that double major, she was also a four year player on the Wisconsin Women’s soccer team. She was a part-timer in her freshman year. But, hard work paid off after she dropped her first career goal in the NCAA tournament her sophomore year. By junior year, she was a regular, in all 20 games. But, by her senior year she was a full-time starter. While soccer may not keep the lights on in the future, there’s something inspiring about working her ass off to continue to grow and become a force on the field. Kudos to Micaela Powers.
Micaela Powers seems to have held typical college jobs. She’s worked at a hotel, had retail experience, and the like. At the time of this writing, her degree is five weeks old. May not be the time to dissect her professional resume. If she heads to Philadelphia to be with Corey, more opportunities may arise.

Beyond that, Micaela Powers seems to have had the quintessential college experience. Her social media is comprised of smiling pictures with friends, and on-campus related activities. And, yes, it’s fair to admit that dating a guy headed to the Super Bowl isn’t exactly the vanilla experience. But, if that’s your experience maybe it’s all you know. Micaela has made it to Philadelphia for a couple games already this year. She’s originally from outside Columbus Ohio. A permanent move to Philadelphia isn’t an impossibility. Now that time is done in Wisconsin, can only imagine there will be more opportunities to head to the City of Brotherly Love.
Corey Clement is being seen as a big part of the game plan in Super Bowl XLII. His speed in the flats is a nightmare for the Patriots base package OLB. This writer actually sees him as a dark horse MVP candidate, a la James White in 2017. If Corey Clement takes center stage, you can imagine his girlfriend will join him in the celebration.
