Chandler Jones’ girlfriend Cherynne Montanero might have been able to help if she were around this weekend. Allegedly, Chandler walked into a police station at 7:42 AM on Sunday with a “medical emergency”. The police have stated that they looked at this more of a medical issue rather than as a police issue. Jones was transferred to Norwood Hospital shortly after 8 a.m. According to the Patriots, he was at work on-time Monday morning and has participated in all team related activities. While that’s great news for Patriots fans – it does highlight something weird. It’s very strange to think about Chandler Jones showing up for football practice as “work”. Anyway, I digress.
Chandler Jones’ girlfriend Cherynne Montanero is originally from the Bronx, where she attended Monsignor Scalan High School. She then Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as a Civil Engineering major, but quickly decided that wasn’t for her. She transferred to Bronx Community College, where she wasa Management / Marketing Major. Cherynne also played on the Bronx Community College volleyball team wearing jersey #4 as a 5’2″ outside hitter. We have no idea what that position is or whether 5’2″ is a good height for that position.
At some point later, Cherynne transferred to Monroe College as a Business Management major with a concentration in Marketing. She earned her bachelors degree from Monroe College, where she also played varsity softball. She now works at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Team Assistant IFS – Tax. At one point, Cherynne ran a website called sportsleadher.com – but it no longer exists. The phrase “lead(her)” is a big one with her – she puts it everywhere.
This probably isn’t a fair statement, but I’m sort of surprised that she has a job at all. It makes me question whether she isn’t with Chandler anymore. You’d think that, if she was still his girlfriend, she wouldn’t need a job, right? Or maybe all of the years of covering WAGs has left me jaded. I tend to think that I wouldn’t want my wife to work if I made that much money. Or at least, I’d give her the option not to. Though, knowing her, I’m sure that she probably would keep working.
