Teddy Bridgewater’s girlfriend Erika Cardona was mentioned in a twincities.com article about the Vikings’ loss against Miami in December prompted a number of Miami fans to tell Erika and Teddy’s mom Rose to “sit down,” but they did not comply. I love stories about friction between athletes’ girlfriends and fans. Another great example of this was when Golden State Warrior Draymond Green threw some grapes at fans who were trash-talking Steph Curry’s mom and wife. Apparently when moms and girlfriends get together there’s a lot of fan pushback.
Mr. Bridgewater was classing it up with Erika at a red carpet event for Barnstable Brown in April. From my understanding, this event had something to do with the Kentucky Derby, but I could be horribly wrong. If so, I apologize, but there’s no apology necessary for the level of class exuded by Teddy Bridgewater’s girlfriend Erika Cardona. She was wearing a very pretty dress and had her hair looking perfect. They kept most of the attention on Teddy and asked him if he had a horse he wanted to bet on, but he said he didn’t know who he was going to be betting on. Erika herself said it was exciting to be at the event and see how excited the fans were to have him back in the area– pretty standard answers in busy events filled with lots of people. It’s hard to say anything interesting in interviews like that.
Erika doesn’t seem to keep any social media profile presence, and that’s always totally fine with us since we can still glean some information about them based on their public appearances and other mentions in media. We’ve seen enough athletes’ girlfriends to know the ones who have their heads screwed on tight, and Erika seems like a class act based on the limited information I’ve seen. The message she sends by not focusing her time on social media is “I have a real life.” You’ve got to respect that.
