The Story
- Despite being one of NASCAR's biggest names, in the three plus year history of this site, we've never had the need to cover Dale Earnhardt Jr's girlfriend...
Until now.
After a 1,642 day winless streak, Dale Jr rolled into Victory Lane with a convincing win at the Quicken Loans 400 in Michigan. Celebrating with Little E on the podium was his girlfriend Amy Reimann, who is Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s girlfriend. There's been plenty of buzz and speculation about who Earnhardt is dating for some time, but we've gone so long between celebrations, there's been little room for confirmation.
Reimann and Earnhardt met when she was doing some work in his home as an interior designer. They met while she was still married to Tommy Cook. Cook and Reimann began dating while attending the University of Kentucky together: he a wide receiver, and she a cheerleader. The National Enquirer ran with a story claiming that the two actually began their romantic relationship while they Reimann was still married to Cook. The couple was officially married less than two years.
Earnhardt and Reimann made their first public appearance together at the 2011 NASCAR awards. They have been dating since approximately 2009. \

So glad that the writer chose to actually put in the article the dubious beginnings of this relationship. So many people think it's just National Enquirer rumors and it's not.. More people know about her dumping the hubby... and I hope that more continue to know when they google her name. she may be a "sweet" girl, as Jr says, but I don't think that someone who dumps their spouse and moves on before filing (legal documents don't lie) should be celebrated because she's Jr's girlfriend.

How do we even know what was going on in the relationship with her husband when she met Jr. Maybe they were having trouble before she met him. Don't always judge what you hear, judge what you actually know. Rumors or Rumors, and nothing else. She may have made a bad decision regarding her relationship with her husband, but that doesn't mean she doesn't care for Dale Jr. more or less, or just because of his money. I truly hate people who go by rumor and not the facts. We may never know the whole truth or facts, so why not let them alone and live their lives the way they want. Dale Jr. is a big boy, and I whole heartedly believe he knows what he is doing. I am happy for him and wish him the best that life can offer. I would love to meet him someday and tell him as a mother and grandmother how proud his family must be, and live life to the fullest. Best of luck to him and Amy!

I seriously don't think Dale Jr. is to blame for the separation of Amy and her ex-husband, but what I am sure of us that both of them are adults and they pretty conscious of what they're doing. Now whether they did it while she was still married or not is their business. I don't think we should be misinterpreting what we don know, but what I do know is that there are some women who are simply with a man for their money. May I remind y'all that Rick Hendrick's widowed daughter-in-law did date Earnhardt and she is known to go after wealthy men. And as for her being with him for the money, yes I think so because she does seem to be with Dale for his money, but I mean only time will tell. I hope all goes well because me as a Jr. fan, I was terribly heart broken when I saw him at the NASCAR Awards in 2011. Either way I still do and will ALWAYS love Dale Jr.

There are a few documents and pics out there that do show she was with him prior to filing for divorce. although we don't know what went on in the Cooks marriage, it is obvious that they got together before she filed for divorce. It would have been so simple had she filed before getting with Jr. Too bad Tommy Cook won't tell his side of the story, I'm sure we might not like what we learn about Junebug!

I can't believe some of the comments I've read. Having been following NASCAR since before they brought it to TV. Before they priced the common person out I attended both Daytona races. Jr. has handled his relationship in a gentleman fashion. To the person who referred to Amy as a "golddigger" may I introduce you to the biggest golddigger ~ Teresa Earnhardt!!!! Jr.'s money is safe & secure because sister Kelly is his business manager and from what I have read she gave up a large salary in the corporate world to work with her little brother. Haven't done research on Amy & her previous marriage; I applaud she & Jr. for keeping their relationship private.

I won't judge Jr. God very likely will, since He hates divorce, and she was not divorced. I am pulling for Jr to win the championship, and this does not change that. However, I am disappointed. It is good to see him happy and with a woman, and many others make the same mistakes. Still, it is not right.

After reading all your comments, it seems on matter what Dale Jr does there's always going to be unhappy people. He's a grown man, let him live his life to the fullest. As for his girlfriend Amy, no one really knows about their relationship, how it happened, or if she was still married or not when they started seeing each other. It's none of our business! This is a bit of a stupid topic but ironically it does have some influence or impact. The public percpetion of Jr effects his 'brand' and the willingness of sponsors to toss money his way. He is the undoubtedly most popular driver in NASCAR but a controversial relationship is not ideal for any sponsor. It is also ironic that JR earlier said that he enjoyed the fact that she didn't need to be in the limelight but of late, it seems that she's gone out of her way to draw attention to herself (t-shirt on pitroad about her boyfriend, etc.). Since coming out of the closet, she hasn't helped sway the public perception of their relationship. Maybe he wishes he could pull that earlier comment back??

Judge not lest ye be judged! Fools names and fools faces are seen in public places. Dale's personal life is his alone and he should be able to have a private life and relationship that is so important to give him a buffer from all the hoopla in his very visible career! Love come at strange and unplanned times and everyone deserves happiness in there own private world that should be allowed to stay private if they so choose. Everyone can root for their favorite driver whether they win or lose and the purchase of sponsors products is really what drives the sport of Nascar. Money isn't the most important thing in life but it sure beats what is in second place! Go Dale, Jr.

I am A huge fan of dale jr and have been for a long time! I think he is awesome and I adore him! Amy you are very lucky I would love to be in your shoes!!!!!!!!!! I hope you will be good to him, he deserves it! I hope your not with him for his money; that wouldnt be right and most importantly you would hurt him big time!!! No ive never had the pleasure of meeting him,I dont want him to get hurt. I do care about him!! So Amy please be good to him!

To those that think dumping a husband and taking up with someone else while you are married is OK, wow! People make the decisions and have to live with the consequences, but come on, morals are morals and should not be glossed over so lightly as saying: "And if she was still married, so what? I think Jr didn't know she was married at the time before they first met. Besides who knows what Amy's life was. Her and her Tommy cook's life could of been what Danica Patrick and her husband went through. But what ever it is it's no one's business but hers and Tommy's and JR's. Maybe they will come out in the future someday and say why her and her ex husband Tommy cook got seperated. But as for now its their business.. Maybe why jr is not marrying her right then is because he's concerned about how she divorced tommy or how she broken hers and his marriage just so she could be with him(jr). I do think he is concerned or has reservations regarding her because she dumped her hubby to be with him. I hope his continued denail of any marriage is true. Obviously he likes her, she's been there since early fall 2008 (love the approximately 2009 in the article - LOL) and she wouldn't be still there unless he liked her or cared about her. Just hoping he continues to be smart about this, and doesn't go down the marriage path. I am hoping that he realizes that since she left her marriage to be with him, even before filing, she can't really be trusted. But who knows.

After reading most of these posts and being in my 60's and experiencing life a bit, I have to respond to the self-rightous people who condemn the girlfriend for leaving her ex-husband the way she did. Did she do it the right way? Probably not, but who's to say what was actually going on in her marriage at the time she became involved with Dale Jr? I've always lived with "It takes two to make a marriage and it takes two to break a marriage". You cannot blame just one of the people involved in a relationship, whether it be a marriage or just dating and everyone makes mistakes. And sometimes what you think you are getting when you are dating is not what you actually get after getting married. Leave Dale Jr. and the girlfriend alone and let them live their lives the way they see fit. They're going to make mistakes, they have made mistakes BUT it's their lives, leave them alone! Perhaps the self-rightous people should take a good hard look at their own life and perhaps clean their own doorsteps before they start telling someone else how they should be living their lives. I read several comments this week about Dale Jr. One said he had a secret that NASCAR didn't want to get out. One said he was miserable with Amy, and said he enjoyed partying and hanging out with his male friends. Another one said he was gay.Is he gay? If so, that would affect his image and popularity with NASCAR and his female fans. What can he offer a female fan if he is gay besides money and their name in the paper. He's had several girlfriends, but they didn't last. There must be a reason why. Maybe he is using Amy as a front so fans will think he's straight. I guess if he's happy then that's fine but if he isn't, then he needs to find someone or something that makes him happy. I hope he does better this year with his racing.

Junebug don't mind what they say here hell I was married once at 20 divorced at 30 had house,body shop but my mistake was letting a so called friend move in and while working 2nd shift in steel foundry they was working my bed and caught them.So after lose house and body shop and then found someone who lived with me for 15 yrs and she did same thing but with her co worker! Cost me more to get rid of girlfriend than it did ex wife!Hummm!Never married since first one and had few long term relationship and did the same things as if we was married.I know in your situation it's not good to just live with a lady but if your personal life style stays out public and media's eyes who gives a rats ass how you live your life?? I went to high school with both Tommy and Amy. They were sweethearts all the way through high school and college. Tommy is an A+ guy with a great heart, don't bash him, you don't know him. I played ball with him, he was a great leader, and just an all around great person. He treated everyone fair and with respect, and even stood up for the little guys when they got picked on. Even though his athletic ability was far superior than anyone else's he was never cocky about it. I have never had the pleasure of meeting a better all around athlete or person than Tommy in my life. I was really sad when I heard this news. Any man that pusues another man's wife is absolute garbage in my book, there is nothing more low one man can do to another man. Jr isn't half the athlete Tommy is, and will never come close to being half the man he is either. Jr has no honor.......
