- Fun Facts: In 2004, Jayson and Julia were forced to bring a lawsuit against one of Julia's former boyfriends.
The suit claimed that Julia's one time high school boyfriend, Ryan Root spent four years sending threatening and accusatory letters to the Werth family. The letters made claims that Werth is unfaithful to Julia and threatened to publicly release pictures and videotapes of Werth having sex with other women. He also made the accusation that one of the women in question was pregnant with Weth's child. The claims were determined to be false and the Werth's sued Root for libel and slander. They requested $50,000 in compensatory damages and an undisclosed "amount which will serve to punish and deter Root from similar conduct."
No word on the outcome of this suit.

I love phillies and Jayson Werth. Too bad that he will not be in Phillies team next year, but I still love him. Someone please........ tell me why is he leaving? wWhy do they let him go just like that? I toold he was very GOOD BASEBALL PLAYER! Or he wan to leave? What's deal? I would never let him go.

The reason the Phillies are probably going to let Jayson go is that they have this really great kid in Domonic Brown that they feel can take his place for less $$$.
Jayson just hired a new agent, who is known for going for the $$$ and Jayson is worth it. Phillies probably won't pay what he wants so....Jayson will probably end up with the Red Sox...he would be good there...they need some new life there. Baseball as in all sports...it's a business.

Thank you for some of the best baseball I have ever seen. Both your effort and athletecism are truly appreciated here in Philly. As long as I live, I will be talking about you, Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins, Roy Halladay, Roy Oswalt, Mike Schmidt, Larry Bowa & Steve Carlton as having played the game ... the way a true athlete should ....
