- How they met: Met in high school in Apopka, FL, where Kuchar worked as a library assistant. Greinke began doing his homework in the library when he noticed Kuchar was working.
- Fun Facts: Following spring training, 2006, Greinke nearly walked away from baseball forever due to a social anxiety disorder. Greinke has repeatedly credited Kuchar with helping him overcome this, and return to form as arguably the best pitcher in the American League.
