Kyle Freeland’s girlfriend Ashley Chrisman is enjoying the hell out of this ride with the Rockies pitcher.

Kyle Freeland is proud to show off his girlfriend regularly on his Instagram. I’ve been doing this long enough, and I know how uncommon that is. But, Kyle is a different breed, and really seems like one of the good ones.
Kyle is from Denver, Colorado, so pitching close to home for him. A lot of young players experience a rocky transition to their professional careers. Not only is everything shiny, new, confusing, and overwhelming, but plus they’re in an unfamiliar city. For Kyle, this journey is met with a relative amount of regularity. He knows Denver pretty well.
But, as important as Denver was for him, it was arguably the University of Wisconsin – Evansville, that made the biggest impact. That’s where Kyle Freeland’s girlfriend entered the picture. Ashley Chrisman is a Michigan native, but attended Evansville where she played soccer. College athletes seem to have a way of attracting one another. When it works, it works. Speaking of athletics, Ashley shared a recent mile tie PR on Instagram. 5:48. Folks, that is FLYING. Amazing stuff.
The journey through the majors
So we started this off saying that Kyle Freeland’s girlfriend is enjoying the ride. And that’s still true. But, this couple is enjoying life in every way.
Kyle and Ashley are a fashionable couple, who clean up really nicely for the cameras. They are often off to various cities together, enjoying the fruits of being a major leaguer. In June they hit the Stephen Colbert show, and got to take a picture from the hosting desk. They hit up Puerta Plata, in the Dominican Republic for Christmas, which was a nice getaway after enjoying a Michigan Thanksgiving with her family. In November, they hit Napa Valley. The list goes on and on. Right now, the pair hopes to have travel plans booked through all of October as the Rockies are in the playoffs. And we’re almost guaranteed to see them both share the journey as it continues!
