Every time I check the MLB standings I have to stop and shake my head. I feel like we're all stuck in Bizarro World from the Seinfeld episode as right now Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Washington and Baltimore are all in the thick of things, and in fact would make the playoffs if they began today. Read that line one more time and you will understand why I'm shaking my head.

One of the big reasons Cinci is making a charge for it's second division title in 3 years is Jay Bruce. Jay is in his 5th year with the team and is now a two time All Star (as well as being the only player I'd ever consider cheating on Buster Posey with in my fantasy baseball man love standings). Bruce was a high draft pick for the Reds back in 2005 and has so far lived up to the expectations. As consistent as Jay is on the field his personal life has been much the same. Jay Bruce is engaged to Hannah Eastham and has been with Jay for the better part of a decade. Both Jay and Hannah are from the Beaumont, TX area and have been dating since early in high school. Hannah followed Jay to Cincinnati when he got the call up to the big leagues and the couple got engaged in 2011. After the 2012 season, one which Jay hopes stretches into late October, the couple plans to marry. It looks like the wedding is planned for December 1 of 2012. We don't know where Jay and Hannah plan on marrying but seeing as both are from Texas and the wedding is in December I think it is a safe bet to say this wedding with be a Texas affair.
