Unlike many of our blogging counterparts, Playerwives embraces what we really are. No, we’re not in our parent’s basement listening to techno and drinking Mountain Dew at 3:40 in the morning, but when you boil everything down, we’re just two dudes from Boston dating chicks that could probably do better than us. We’re formerly bitter Sox fans (thank you ‘04) who were raised on cynicism, negativity, and bustin’ chops. Now that we’ve established this, we’re going to blow you reader’s away.
We don’t really get women. No I know. It’s shocking, but it is true. Because of that, a typical tone to one of our posts may lack the point of view of the female reader. Since we have elaborate future plans towards the total domination of the sports blogosphere, we figure it’s time to bring in the cavalry and bridge the gap of what we see and what we don’t.
Playerwives is pleased to introduce the newest contributor to our site, The Mistress. (pretty clever, huh?)
It’s a female perspective on the players, wives, girlfriends and mistresses we chronicle. In a thus far brief email conversation with her, she’s already proven funnier than us, so her insight is sure to be appreciated.
